Touch the Mappy is a pretty charming gem. Decades after Namco's original reign in the arcades, some of their veteran developers decided to regroup, making use of Namco's Catalog IP program to make a crowdfunded game that captures the style of their old games... It's really quite the story.
The icing on the cake definitely has to be the music, though. They might not have been able to get Mappy composer Nobuyuki Ohnogi on board, Junko Ozawa of Pac-Mania and Klonoa fame succeeded him really well, even going as far as to making an alternate version of the soundtrack using the classic Namco WSG synths!

...Except for the theme played during the lovingly Pac-Man-esque intermissions, for some unexplained reason. I knew I had to address this, and so I did! It was actually a bit more challenging than you probably expect, I had to constantly second-guess myself as I transcribed the song because I didn't have any good audio recordings to work off of. But I think it came out pretty well, and it fits in super well with the rest of Namco's classic lineup like this, I think! I hope you agree with me on that.
